Church Facilities & Ministry Spaces

Church facilities are more than buildings. They are places where communities gather, worship, learn, and grow together.

We approach every church project with a strong commitment to stewardship, careful planning, and respect for the mission of each congregation.

Construction That Serves the Mission

Church construction projects often involve unique challenges, balancing budget stewardship with long-term vision, expanding existing facilities while maintaining ongoing ministry activities, or relocating to a new campus to support growth.

Langston Construction works closely with church leadership and building committees throughout the entire process. Our goal is to provide clarity, transparency, and guidance that allows church leaders to focus on their mission while we manage the construction process.

Many of our church clients come to us through recommendations from pastors and ministry leaders who have previously worked with our team.

First Baptist Church Lufkin

Langston Construction partnered with First Baptist Church of Lufkin to expand its historic downtown campus while preserving the character of the existing sanctuary.

The project added 25,000 square feet of new construction, including the Reich Chandler Great Hall and Welcome Center designed to create a modern entry point for members and visitors.

The expansion also introduced modern restrooms serving the sanctuary, a coffee bar gathering space, and a secure entrance into the children’s ministry area.

The two-story addition includes classrooms and worship spaces for children, an activity room, and views overlooking a new secure playground. The second level houses updated church administrative offices organized around collaborative workspaces and meeting areas designed to support ministry operations.

First Baptist Church Livingston

Previously located in a landlocked downtown location, First Baptist Church of Livingston had outgrown its existing facilities and lacked room for future expansion.

Langston Construction partnered with the church to design and build a new campus that would support the congregation’s long-term ministry needs.

The new facility includes a 700-seat sanctuary, administrative offices for staff, a dedicated children’s wing, educational classrooms, and 215,000 square feet of concrete parking to accommodate growing attendance.

Completed ahead of schedule and under budget, the new campus provides a welcoming environment for worship, fellowship, and community engagement.

Denman Avenue Baptist Church

Langston Construction began working with Denman Avenue Baptist Church during the early planning stages of their facility expansion.

After presenting the design-build construction approach to the church’s long-range planning committee, our team worked closely with leadership to develop a comprehensive campus master plan that integrated new facilities with the existing church plant.

Following the planning process and a detailed building program assessment, Langston Construction was selected as the church’s design-build contractor for a new 1,000-seat sanctuary, along with supporting classrooms and gathering spaces.

Construction was completed ahead of schedule, providing the church with a modern worship facility designed to support both current ministry and future growth.
